Hi Ann,

How very kind of you! That's most gracious of you to point your readers toward my site.

For those of you who don't know, Ann was one of the very first people to help me when I was just starting blogging three months ago. I read a post she made on Bob Sutton's site and followed it out to her blog. I sent her a couple of emails and she gave me some good practical advice about what works and what doesn't. She also recommended that I go to Liz Strauss — and that turned out to be very positive for me. I've really enjoyed being part of Liz's community.

My main focus the past two years has been in starting Creative Whack (http://www.creativewhack.com), a company that markets and distribute my products — especially my magnetic design block products. I did this as a joint venture with Stuart Kaplan, the founder and president of US Games. We rolled out the "Ball of Whacks" in 4Q '06, and sold out its first run. The BOW got a lot of good review and I have big hopes for this product in '07.

This past summer I designed the follow-on product to the Ball of Whacks. It's called the Jollyhedron(TM), and we're currently doing the preliminary tooling in China now. I'll talk more about this product in the coming months.

My wife and I plan to go to Egypt in early February for 8 days, and then on to Berlin for the Berlinale film festival. I also plan to to more speaking and seminars this year.

Thanks again Ann. Best wishes to your readers!

Roger von Oech

Thanks for stopping by, Roger! I can't wait to hear more about your trips to Egypt and Berlin (and to try out your new toy!).
